"On the Style and form of Writing that developed in the history of science."
This is a conversationally toned piece written to be distributed to the students at RPI in a graduate seminar on research writing, intended to convey some of the complex politics and history of "scientific writing". It's informal tone was intentional and worked well for the course. It accompanied discussion of the function of passive voice writing led by the professor of the course.
